Sociology/CREO Ph.D. Students Nicole Perez and Julie Dallavis participated in Notre Dame Graduation Ceremonies on May 18, 2019.

Nicole Perez defended and completed her dissertation work in Spring 2019. Her dissertation title was At the Crossroads of America: New Latino Immigrants in Northern Indiana. She is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs and Academic Programs at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Julie Dallavis defended and completed her dissertation work in Fall 2019. Her dissertation title was Does a School's Mission Matter? Exploring Changes in Statement Content, Use, and Understanding, and Links to Student Achievement. She is Faculty in the Institute of Educational Initiatives (IEI) and works with the Program Evaluation and Research Team. She also teaches in the Education, Schooling, and Society Minor (ESS) and serves as a Faculty Liaison for the ND Program in Interdisciplinary Education Research (ND PIER).
